2. neils are work is very cool, He is famous for his sports photography. He has portraits of many different athletes and also has pictures from very cool moments in sports history. He always gives off the exact amount of the right lighting and always has very good angels and back rounds. He also takes pictures from different times in history. He has some pictures from a really long time ago and some from the recent years. Some of his pictures are in black and white and since they are only black and white that kind of reminds me of older pictures in history. he had a keen eye for composition, timing, and the use of color and light to create dynamic and striking images.
3. Leifers passion for photography came from his love of sports and taking pictures. he had always been a really big fan of sports and loved taking pictures so he decided to get into sports photography. he said that he would work really hard to pursue his passion. he also said that he does not think that he was particularly gifted but he would just work twice as hard as everyone else. His pictures tell the story of sports with just a picture.
4. Leifer has really influenced me with his picture because I find them very cool because i have a passion of loving sports just like him and I like taking photos so his idea of combining them together has really influenced me to do something like that. Some of the people that influenced leifer were Hy Peskin, John G Zimmerman, Mark Kauffman and Marvin E Newman. Leifer said that those people were his heros. He was also influenced by a teacher who ran the local photo club.

Part 2
Leifers photos-
My recreated photos-
Compare and contrast- My photo is different than Leifer's photos. His was taken a long time ago and was actually a picture of Koufax, Mine was taken in 2023 and not actually of Koufax. mine was take of my brother and dad and vets park and not actually at a field Koufax played at but mine till looks similar. As you can see Leifer's photo was taken with a much higher quality camera and mine was just taken with an Iphone but they both look very well. I like how the batter is blurred in Leifer's photo so i tried to do that with my photo. I also really like Sandy Koufax so I chose a picture of him to recreate.
Artist statement- This final project was a long process but was a good one. With all that is happening right now in Israel and me being Jewish and all, it has been a hard process so recreating pictures of sandy Koufax has meant a lot to me because he has done so much for me as a Jewish role model. He was Jewish and really has stood up for the Jews . I also recreated pictures if Jackie Robinson because just like sandy Koufax he really stood up for African Americans and really changed the way the MLB is. These 2 people are very important to me because I love baseball and they have done so much that has impacted the game in a good way. both of these guys are very big role models for me and very impactful to the game of baseball. I want to say thank you to my family for letting me take pictures if them and Thank you to Ms. Giltner for making this a great class.

Compare and contrast- In Leifers photo Jackie Robinson was kneeling a bit further away from the camera than mine and he hd his jersey on while my brother just had normal clothed . Both pictures were black and white but Leifer's photo had a bit more white than mine did. Leifer's was also taken a long time ago and actually of Jackie Robinson while mine was just taken at a Ann Arbor baseball field of my brother. Jackie Robinson rally changed the game of baseball being the first African American MLB player. Jackie Robinson as a role model to me.

Compare and contrast- This is the only photo out of the 3 that was taken in color. this one is very cool because it shows Koufax's pitching style and how he was so dominant. leifer's picture look a bit different than mine because in his picture koufax was pitching in a real MLB stadium in front of a bunch of fas. I tried my best to get it as close to the original photo as possible but it was hard because of my location and their were no fans in the back round. this photo was also taken. in 2023 and not when Koufax played. this photo is my favorite out of the 3 because it shows a cool picture of Koufax dominating and it is in color. Koufax is a role model to me because i love baseball and i am jewish and he was the best jewish baseball player ever and he really made an impact on Jews all around the world.
